The uniquely formulated properties of this tough membrane enable it to bridge new cracks opening up to 0.5mm without rupture, retaining the integrity of the coating and therefore preventing the ingress of water.

Materials Supplied

15kg pack size comprising resin base and hardener components. 

Coverage

The coverage obtained will vary depending on the texture of the surface to which the Gripdeck Flexcoat is applied. As a guide, the coverage should be 1.0kg/m² when applied to a smooth primed surface.

Existing construction joints and cracks should be overbanded with a 100mm wide ‘stripe coat’ of Gripdeck Flexcoat applied onto Gripdeck Primecoat E prior to general coating of the deck as these areas may be prone to greater movement.

Storage

Store under dry warehouse conditions at a temperature between 10°C and 30°C.

Shelf Life

6 months in unopened, undamaged, sealed containers and stored under good conditions.

Technical Information

Gripdeck Flexcoat comprises two components, a Resin Base and Hardener which are supplied preweighed in the correct proportions. Under no circumstances should part mixing be carried out.

Pre-mix the resin component with a power whisk attached to a slow speed electric drill for 1 minute prior to mixing both components.

Taking care to ensure that the bottom and sides are thoroughly scraped, transfer the contents of the resin in to the hardener. Using a power whisk attached to a slow speed electric drill, mix for approximately 3 minutes, ensuring the mixing head is pushed around the sides and bottom of the mixing container. Transfer the contents into another container, scraping down and re-mixing for a further 2 minutes avoiding the entraining of excessive air until a uniform consistency is obtained.

Never mix Gripdeck Flexcoat by hand as this could lead to areas of uncured material. Select an appropriate mixing container that will allow proper and efficient mixing.

APPLICATION

Immediately after mixing is complete, spread the Gripdeck Flexcoat onto the floor using a squeegee and finish using a short or medium pile roller. 

Gripdeck Flexcoat is not colour stable and changes may be seen following application and before overcoating. This will not effect the properties of the Gripdeck Flexcoat in any way.

CLEANING

Tools should be cleaned with Quickmast Solvent immediately after use.

OVERCOATING

Gripdeck Primecoat (Body Coat) may be applied as soon as the Gripdeck Flexcoat becomes tack free. This should be undertaken within 30 hours of application.
